The Seattle Seahawk’s Richard Sherman might be one of the most outspoken players in the NFL today. The cornerback on Wednesday utilized his moment at the rostrum as an opportunity to take a break from talking football and focus specifically on his thoughts regarding police brutality.
“Today we play San Fran and they’re a great opponent…but I’m not going to answer any questions today…” Sherman told the assembled members of the media.
Sherman launched right into his thoughts on players( like Colin Kaepernick) taking a stance on the field and the public’s perception of the various protests, especially in the light of the recent killings of Terrance Crutcher and Keith Lamont Scott.
“People are still missing the point…it’s not right for people to get killed in the street, ” he said.
