Colin Kaepernick’s protest has former contender Marshawn Lynch’s support

Marshawn Lynch doesn’t speak to media much, so when he does, it probably means whatever he’s going to say is going to be important.

The retired Seattle running back opened up to O’Brien about former competitor San Francisco 49 ers Colin Kaepernick’s controversial protest of “the member states national” anthem.

“I’d rather watched him take a knee than stand up and put his hands up and get murdered, ” Lynch told, standing up with his arms up. “If you’re genuinely not racist, then you won’t consider what he’s doing as a threat to America, just addressing the problems that we have.”

“Alright, I’m with you on that, ” O’Brien chimed in.
